Can you mention what you liked about working with the Greenwood Homes team while building your home?
At each step of the process, Greenwood Homes' team was open and honest with us. Not only was this evident in how Chris, Cary, Randy, and Scott worked with us through the details for the building process, but they treated us kindly and with the utmost respect as people and new neighbors.

What are the design features of your home that you enjoy the most?
We love how well the home is built, first and foremost. We also appreciate the high ceilings on each level, generous garage, and thoughtful details throughout the home; honestly, everything is just a little nicer than you'd expect it to be.

We also really love the overall design of the home because its layout and proportions fit the way we live without a lot of unused space.

Have you enjoyed the energy efficiency of your home? Compared to the size of your last home, how much more comfortable / energy efficient is your new Greenwood Home?
The home is really stable from a temperature perspective, which stands in stark contrast to our prior homes. There are no cold or hot spots next to windows or in certain rooms like we've experienced in the past. The home also seems to hold its temperature well; for example, we left for a weekend trip in March and came home to find the home's temperature just a few degrees lower than we had left it despite some cold nights and the heat set much lower than normal. We also feel like our energy bills have benefited as well.

How was the home at the time of your walk though? How was the process of settling and receiving your keys?
The home was pretty well perfect at the walk through--clean and exactly how we wanted it. The settlement was fast and easy. Indeed, it was one of the easiest closes we've had on a house. We received the keys with no hitches, and Greenwood Homes came through with another thoughtful touch, putting the keys in a customized wooden box. It helped the day feel special.

Is there something special you would like to share about your Greenwood Homes experience?
Honestly, it's the people at Greenwood Homes that truly sets this experience apart. They listened and worked to find solutions. They are genuinely kind people. The whole process was smooth and enjoyable, and that's due in large part to the people at Greenwood Homes.

What is one thing you would share with someone considering building a home with Greenwood Homes?
Do it! They are a great builder. We're happy with our home and felt well taken care of throughout the build process. Our realtor to this day still says that Greenwood is the best builder he has worked with.

Why did you choose Greenwood Homes?
We chose Greenwood because we liked their location in Crozet, and the floor plans of their homes met our family's needs and did so with a style that resonated with us.

Can you mention what you liked about working with the Greenwood Homes Team while building your home?
The process we experienced was very enjoyable! Greenwood Homes kept us updated the entire way and we enjoyed getting to see the house change from bare bones to a welcoming home.

What are the design features of your home that you enjoy the most?
I love the size of the master bedroom! It comfortably fits our new king size bed and two end tables. I also love the back deck which gets great afternoon sun!

Have you enjoyed the energy efficiency of your home? Compared to the size of your last home, how much more comfortable / energy efficient is your new Greenwood Home?
The utilities are much more affordable than we expected! We can definitely tell that the house was built very efficiently!

How was the home at the time of your walk though? 
At the time of walk through our home was complete! Very few items were incomplete and everything we asked for was promptly taken care of.

Is there something special you would like to share about your Greenwood Homes experience?
Greenwood homes has been very welcoming and friendly every step of the way. They made the home building process extremely easy!

What is one thing you would share with someone considering building a home with Greenwood Homes?
You won’t find a better team to work with! They have great customer service and built us a beautiful home!

Why did you choose Greenwood Homes?
We happened to find them by chance and fell in love with the model home. After seeing it, nothing else we have looked at compared and we knew we had to live here!

I wanted to let you know what a positive experience we’ve had building with Greenwood Homes in Glenbrook, particularly with Austin Zimmerman as our project manager. 

Austin has been communicative, professional, and great to work with throughout the process of having our home built. We’ve definitely heard horror stories from friends having worked with builders before, and our experience was very different in the best way.  We’ve been very impressed with Greenwood and are appreciative for experience that we’ve had throughout the entire process.

Being a Realtor in Charlottesville since 2005, I have worked with all of the local builders. In 2022 my husband and I built with Greenwood in the Spring Creek Community, and we had a wonderful experience. Elsa was great during the initial sales/design process and our Project Manager made sure that we were informed every step of the way. We were given a completion date and they were able to deliver the home as promised, which is not an easy thing to accomplish! The follow-up after closing with some small items that needed to be addressed was very prompt. I have been super impressed throughout the process, and continue to be as I work with clients myself that are now building with Greenwood. I don't hesitate to recommend Greenwood to all of our clients who are looking into new construction.

Conrad and I wanted to express our appreciation and gratitude for Greenwood homes in the building of our new home. We found the entire process a very pleasant experience. Conrad and I felt it was important to communicate with both of you how much we enjoyed working with Shawn. She was very responsive to our questions and and issue that we raised. We were both surprised that we had very few issues during the building process. Shawn was essential in the successful building of our beautiful home. Her passion and expertise was very much present through out the last several months of our home being built. 

I wanted to let you know that we have had a fantastic experience working with Shawn, Elsa and other members of the Greenwood Homes team. We love our new home, and we are impressed with the level of detailed construction and well appointed fixtures that were included with the house. We bought a home almost a year ago and we love it. The design is very functional as compared to our old house of 32 years with wider staircases, hallways, and every room larger and better for living and entertaining. Cary is a pleasure to work with before, during and even a year after the sale! As with any contractor, the expectation is not perfection on day one, but how issues are resolved even a year later. We had a few minor to medium issues and with the help of Cary and the owners of Greenwood the issues were resolved above and beyond our expectations and that's what matters!

We would like to sincerely thank you for all your support and assistance in helping us get our first home! It was a true pleasure working with you; we felt very comfortable and enjoyable through the process. From the initial tour (thanks to Amber and Colleen) to the orientation and the walk-through (thanks to Eli, Brian, and Matt), everything went so smoothly because of your guidance and hard work. We highly appreciate the care and attention you put into every step.

We were sneaky in the house yesterday after work at night and were surprised by the gifts you put--- so sweet of you (the Ananas is cuuuute!)!
